Weekend of fun and birthdays!

2010 Wine Tasting Tour

It is Amber and Danielle's birthday this week and we are celebrating by going wine tasting and partying in the great city of Portland.  We are going to the Dundee area to hit up 3 wineries in a SSSTTRREETTTCCCHHH Limo!  We are going to be rockstars for the day and night.

This weekend is going to be so much fun.

I'm hoping to take a million pictures.

I really need to get on capturing my life in film.

My love for coffee....

I love coffee.

I drink way too much.

But on Monday I started the AdvoCare Herbal 10 Day Cleanse and coffee is a no no.  Oh how this was so very hard.  I actually did okay for the first few days and didn't even think about it.  I had replaced my daily cup (or 3 cups but whose counting) with Spark, a great energy drink that AdvoCare suggests to replace coffee with.  It has the same amount of caffeine as a cup of coffee and really keeps me energized through out the day, which I love.  BUT...  It's just not coffee.  Too bad they don't have a coffee flavored version.  This morning it is gray and cloudy and all I could think about was the warmth of coffee. I started to miss the days of waking up with my cup of joe, with it's cream and sugar friends.

So I gave in.  I figured one cup can't hurt me that much and I find that I don't want a whole pot.  One cup will do.  And I can make one cup because my lovely mother has stocked our drawers with the Starbucks one cup of coffee dream product, the Via!

These are just amazing little inventions.  I had the Columbia flavor.  You just heat up some water, in a teapot or the microwave, put the Via in your cup, fill with water and you are set.  Just add what you want to your cup and you're in for some enjoyment.

OK, I think I have gotten my fill of coffee today and will get back on track with my Spark and my cleanse.

Happy almost Friday!

I love my TOMS!

TOMS TOMS TOMS!!!

I was hesitant to try these shoes. I didn't think they were that cute and never thought that I would jump on this bandwagon. But alas, just as I jumped on the UGGs wagon, I decided to try them on and fell in love. They are the most comfortable shoes you could wear. It is like walking on air, the new flip flops of the summer.

It doesn't hurt that they come in a million different colors. But the best part is that they have a "one for one" program. http://www.toms.com/our-movement For every pair of shoes anyone buys they donate a pair to a child in need in an underprivileged country. I feel great knowing that purchasing a pair of these shoes for my own pleasure is helping someone.

If you haven't tried them, do it!

Hallelujah!

I took my last final of Spring Term today and I left feeling extremely discouraged about it. Not only was the test not easy (which I don't expect it to be, it's Anatomy and all), I just was feeling really down about this class in general. This is the second time I've taken this class, last time I took it I got a C, and that just won't do to get into Nursing School. I at least need a B to feel good about applying this Spring.

And guess what! I checked my grade about 10 minutes ago and didn't do that great on the test, BUT I got a B in the class!!!! Hence the HALLELUJAH!

It took a few calculations (of course the teacher waits to post the actual letter grade), my happy face is back on!

I get about 10 days to bask in no school and then it's back to the grind on the 22nd.

I'm started out my "mini break" with a glass of red wine and a little Leonard Cohen.

Enjoy!

Omelet Attempt

I attempted at making an omelet this morning. The outcome was interesting, omelets are my nemesis, but they are so good. I made this one with one clove of garlic, baby spinach, halved grade tomatoes, 2 slices of Swiss cheese cut into slivers, and 2 eggs and one egg white. It was delicious and one of these day I'll master the first flip of the omelet.

Suede DX W (2010) - Bikes | Giant Bicycles | United States

I want this bike! I need to save $500 for it. Could be long shot.

I can just picture riding it on the country roads this summer.

Eyes closed....

Feeling the warmth...

The wind through my hair...

Here's hoping...
